"We Have Successful Grantwriters on Staff"
Beginning in 2009, the federal government is increasing its financial support for non-profits in the form of grants and incentives. Our team has researched many of these programs, attended HUD seminars on grant-writing and worked to secure some of this federal money for our non-profit clients.
Our services in Architecture, Engineering, Building Energy Analysis and Construction Management align directly with programs which are specifically being promoted by the federal government through the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and other initiatives. Private foundations have also shown a high level of commitment to providing capital for energy-efficient and "green" building programs for their non-profit constituents. Our team has the expertise to help your organization prepare a "shovel-ready" plan for securing this type of funding, as well as implementing and managing the programs to improve your facilities.
We are active members in our communities, serving on non-profit and municipal boards and donating our time and expertise to relief and volunteer efforts, both locally and abroad. This experience has provided us with a great deal of insight and understanding of how to best work as design & building consultants for a community-based organization. We know how to motivate stakeholders to stay involved throughout the entire project, build group consensus and focus on achieving your goals. It’s not all about award-winning design or innovative engineering (though they are sometimes wonderful by-products)- it’s about enhancing the quality of the services your organization can provide to the community.
Improving the energy-efficiency of your buildings leads to immediate savings in the form of lower operational costs. Good design and space-planning help to create better working conditions for your staff and better facilities for the community’s use.
If your organization has secured or is considering seeking funding for design, renovation, "green" retrofitting or new construction projects, feel free to contact us to discuss how we might be of service. We look forward to hearing from you.
Good Beginnings
One of our latest endeavors is working with Good Beginnings of Claremont, NH (image shown at left). Their organization is pursuing funding through federal and local grants to either purchase & renovate the building they currently lease, or find a new building that will fit their needs.
They have plans to incorporate a day care center to complement their already impressive array of child & family services. So far, we have helped them by providing accurate drawings of their existing building, discussing the feasibility of renovating and options for re-arranging the building layout. We will continue to work with them as they move forward into the next phases of fund-raising and ultimately in the design and construction of their facilities.
